VAT is an abbreviation for 'Value-Added Tax' and it's a tax on the sale and purchase of goods and services.
In Denmark, the VAT rate is generally 25% of the value of the goods or services. If you trade with other countries, the VAT rate may be different.
Do I need to pay VAT?
You need to pay VAT if you trade goods or services for over DKK 50,000 annually. Additionally, you must also pay tax on your business profit.
It's your responsibility to report and pay VAT. We don't get the information automatically. Remember to report VAT even if you don't buy or sell goods or services in a given period. In that case, you must report DKK 0 DKK.
